Should we cut down Thai jackfruit trees to plant other trees when prices are low? Jackfruit prices have been low for the past 2 weeks. Some jackfruit export farms have switched to buying jackfruit from the market to sell domestically. Farmers tell each other “don’t see jackfruit jammed at the border gate” and compete to cut down Thai jackfruit trees to plant other trees. Currently, the jam at the border gates in Lang Son is becoming more serious, when there are about 5,000 container trucks stuck and unable to clear customs. Among them are many container trucks of jackfruit farms in the Western provinces exporting to China. Some farms have had to sell in the Lang Son area at the same price of 30 – 40,000 VND/fruit. ************************************************ Thank you everyone for taking the time to watch my video.
