rice prices today, September 12, 2022: World rice market is bustling. Today’s rice prices in the domestic market continued to stagnate without any fluctuations. Meanwhile, in the Asian rice market, rice trading was bustling. While the domestic rice market remained gloomy, in the Asian rice market, rice export prices from India remained stable around the highest level of the past week, due to strong demand from neighboring Bangladesh. Meanwhile, concerns about supply and high demand have helped increase Thai rice prices. Specifically, the price of 5% broken parboiled rice from India remained unchanged from last week, at $379 – $387/ton. Strong demand from Bangladesh has strengthened Indian rice prices in recent weeks, as the Bangladeshi government plans to import about 1.2 million tons of rice in the next few months to build reserves and cool down high domestic prices. Meanwhile, for Vietnamese rice, export rice prices continue to move sideways. Currently, the price of 5% broken rice is at 393 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is 378 USD/ton, 100% broken rice is 383 USD/ton. Rice exports are forecast to continue to increase, demand for Vietnamese rice is likely to continue to increase for the rest of the year, due to bad weather conditions affecting rice production in China and India. #rice price #agriculture #nhanong #mientay #rice #gaonguyenlieu #gaothanhpham
