rice price today May 12, 2022: Rice price is stable, by-products increase rice price today in the Mekong Delta provinces remains stable, while prices of by-products such as broken rice and dried bran continue to increase. The domestic market is trading stably today. The amount of raw rice is low, the price of raw rice is stable. High demand for animal feed and oil pressing has caused bran prices to continuously peak and remain at a record level in recent years, while broken rice prices are still fluctuating. Regarding the rice export situation, in the world market, the current export price of Vietnamese rice remains stable after an upward adjustment session. Specifically, the price of 100% broken rice is at 365 USD/ton; 5% broken rice is 418 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is 398 USD/ton; Jasmine rice is 513 – 517 USD/ton. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam exported about 550,000 tons of rice in April with a value of 273 million USD. In the first 4 months, Vietnam exported 2.05 million tons with a value of 1 billion USD, up 4.4% in volume but down 6% in value compared to the same period in 2021. Although prices have decreased, Vietnamese rice prices remain higher than those of other countries.
