rice price today, June 14, 2022: Rice price increased by 150 VND/kg. rice prices today in the Mekong Delta provinces rebounded strongly with an increase of 150 VND/kg for raw rice and an increase of 100 VND/kg for dry bran. In the world market, Vietnam’s export rice prices remain stable and quite optimistic. Currently, Vietnam’s 5% broken rice export price is stable at 423 USD/ton, 25% broken rice remains at 403 USD/ton and 100% broken rice is stable at 378 USD/ton. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) forecasts that global rice output in the 2021/2022 crop year will be higher than before, due to better output from India and Brazil. Global rice imports and exports are forecast to increase due to stronger demand from China and higher exports from Myanmar and Brazil. In the first 5 months of 2022, the country exported nearly 2.77 million tons of rice, equivalent to over 1.35 billion USD, with an average price of 489 USD/ton, up 6.6% in volume, but down 4% in turnover and down 9.9% in price compared to the same period in 2021.
