In the world market, the export price of Vietnamese rice remains stable after a downward adjustment session. Currently, the price of 5% broken rice is at 413 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is 393 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is 383 USD/ton. An Giang province has just issued a rice processing program to serve the Project on building and developing the An Giang province rice brand until 2025, with a vision to 2030. The total estimated cost of implementing the program is over 14.2 billion VND. Nationwide, according to the Project “Restructuring Vietnam’s rice industry to 2025 and 2030”, by 2025, Vietnam will export about 5 million tons of rice; of which fragrant rice, specialty rice and japonica rice account for 40%, glutinous rice 20%, high-quality white rice 20%, medium and low-quality rice 15%, rice products 5%.
