In the world market, Vietnam’s export rice prices remained stable. Specifically, the current export price of 5% broken rice from Vietnam is stable at 418 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 403 USD/ton; 100% broken rice remains at 383 USD/ton. According to export enterprises, the current price of Summer-Autumn rice has decreased by 15 – 20 USD/ton, but the price of Winter-Spring rice is still high. Specifically, Winter-Spring Jasmine rice is priced from 560 – 570 USD/ton, while Summer-Autumn Jasmine rice is priced at 520 USD/ton. Winter-Spring 5% broken white rice is priced at 430 USD/ton, while Summer-Autumn rice is only offered at 410 USD/ton. Regarding the export market, Mr. Phan Van Co – Marketing Director of VRICE Company Limited said that in the first 6 months of the year, rice exports to the EU were still stable, but from July onwards, they may gradually decrease. The reason is partly because the EU has issued a warning about rice imported from Vietnam, and secondly because the Euro is depreciating against the USD, so the price of rice sold to the EU is very high.
