Rice price update on April 26, 2023: Rice prices remain unchanged. Today’s rice prices in the Mekong Delta remained unchanged after yesterday’s adjustment. In the world market, Vietnam’s export rice prices today stagnated and remained unchanged after an upward adjustment. Accordingly, 5% broken rice is at 473 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is 453 USD/ton. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nam – Chairman of the Vietnam Food Association said that as of April 15, rice exports continued to grow when exporting about 2.3 million tons, worth more than 1.2 billion USD. Sharing the same view, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of Phuoc Thanh IV Production – Trading Company Limited, said that the winter-spring rice crop in the Mekong Delta has many advantages such as early harvest, bumper crop, and high-quality rice thanks to favorable weather. Rice importers are also taking advantage of buying Vietnamese rice in this winter-spring crop. “Prices for rice export contracts for delivery in May continue to remain high.
