High import demand from other countries helps the rice market to be vibrant. In the world market, Vietnam’s export rice prices today stagnated and remained unchanged after an upward adjustment session. Accordingly, 5% broken rice is at 473 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is 453 USD/ton. The Vietnam Food Association (VFA) forecasts that Vietnam’s rice export situation in the second quarter of 2023 will maintain a positive growth momentum. In particular, due to the impact of economic and political instability and increased demand for food reserves of countries, rice export prices remain high. Typically, recently, the National Food Authority of the Philippines (NFA) proposed importing 330,000 tons of rice to offset the expected deficit in reserves. Previously, the news that Indonesia decided to import 2 million tons of national rice reserves in 2023 to increase reserves to 2.4 million tons instead of about 1.2 million tons as the previous reserve level, made the rice export market even more exciting. #rice price today #nhanongmientay #giacathitruong
