rice price today July 12, 2022: Retail rice prices decrease Today’s rice prices in the Mekong Delta provinces continued to stagnate after last week’s adjustment session. Today’s export rice prices on July 11 were stable. Currently, Vietnam’s 5% broken rice export price is stable at 418 USD/ton, 100% broken rice is 383 USD/ton, 25% broken rice remains at 403 USD/ton. At this price, Vietnam’s export rice price is 1 – 5 USD/ton higher than the same type of rice from Thailand. Currently, domestic supply continues to increase because farmers in the Mekong Delta have harvested about 30% of the Summer-Autumn rice crop. However, traders are reducing rice purchases from farmers, waiting for domestic prices to decrease because logistics costs are still very high. Accordingly, in the Philippine market, rice consumption is increasing due to high wheat prices. In addition, the Philippines’ rice production is forecast to remain flat, boosting imports. Therefore, Vietnam, which accounts for more than 80% of the rice export market share to the Philippines in 2021-2022, will benefit. #rice price #agriculture #nhanong #mientay #rice #gaonguyenlieu #gaothanhpham
