Rice price update on May 14, 2023: Rice prices remain stable. Today’s rice prices in the Mekong Delta continue to remain stable. According to traders, today the amount of raw rice arriving is low, the ports are empty of rice. The prices of all types of rice have not fluctuated much. In the export market, according to the Vietnam Food Association, the export price of 5% broken rice from Vietnam is at 488 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 468 USD/ton; Jasmine rice is at 553-557 USD/ton. Last week, the delivery prices of all types of Vietnamese rice to most major markets such as the Philippines and Africa recorded high increases compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, the amount of rice delivered decreased compared to the previous week. For the Chinese market, the amount of rice delivered remained stable compared to the previous week.
