Rice price update on May 3, 2023: Rice prices continue to be stable. Today’s rice prices in the Mekong Delta continue to be stable. The rice market is slow due to the end of the harvest season. According to the Vietnam Food Association, the export price of 5% broken rice from Vietnam fluctuates around 483-487 USD/ton; Jasmine rice is at 553-557 USD/ton. The Vietnam Food Association (VFA) forecasts that Vietnam’s rice export situation in the second quarter of 2023 will maintain a positive growth momentum. Due to the impact of economic and political instability and increased demand for food reserves of countries, rice export prices in the international market remain high.
