Today’s rice price in the Mekong Delta provinces remains stable, rice transactions are still slow, purchasing power from traders and factories is not much. Kien Giang province focuses on effective production of Summer-Autumn and Autumn-Winter rice crops, reaching 1.95 million tons or more; of which, Summer-Autumn rice is 1.57 million tons to achieve and exceed the 2022 output plan of 4.4 million tons of rice. According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Kien Giang, in the 2022 Summer-Autumn rice crop, people planted 279,699 hectares, reaching 99.5% of the plan.
