The price of live pigs today, May 23, 2024, increased widely in all 3 regions, and recorded the highest increase of 2,000 VND/kg. In the Northern region, the price of live pigs today, May 23, 2024, increased by 1,000 VND/kg within a narrow range and fluctuated between 66,000 – 68,000 VND/kg. Accordingly, after increasing the same price, traders in Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, and Tuyen Quang adjusted it to 68,000 VND/kg, equal to Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc, and Hanoi. Other localities in the region did not record any price fluctuations, in which the lowest price in the region of 66,000 VND/kg was recorded in Ninh Binh. Traders in Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Nam Dinh, and Phu Tho all recorded a price of 67,000 VND/kg. In the Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs today increased by 1,000 VND/kg across the board and fluctuated between 64,000 – 67,000 VND/kg. Specifically, after increasing one price, traders in Lam Dong adjusted the purchase price up to 67,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region. Also recording an increase of one price, traders in Quang Binh, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa are purchasing live pigs at 65,000 VND/kg, equal to Binh Dinh, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan. Similarly, in Binh Thuan, after adjusting the price up one, traders in this locality purchased live pigs at 66,000 VND/kg, equal to Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh. Other localities did not record any price fluctuations, and recorded the lowest price of 64,000 VND/kg in Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam. In the Southern region, the price of live pigs ranges from 1,000 – 2,000 VND/kg in a wide range and fluctuates between 64,000 – 67,000 VND/kg. Accordingly, after increasing by 2,000 VND/kg, traders in Dong Thap, Can Tho, and Tien Giang are purchasing live pigs at 67,000 VND/kg. This price is also recorded in Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Long An, and Kien Giang after these localities adjusted the purchase price up by 1,000 VND/kg compared to the previous day. Similarly, after adjusting up by 2,000 VND/kg, the price of live pigs in An Giang is being purchased at 66,000 VND/kg. This price is also recorded in Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, and Vinh Long after traders in these localities adjusted the purchase price up by 1,000 VND/kg compared to the previous day. In Soc Trang alone, after adjusting the price up by one, traders here are purchasing live pigs at 65,000 VND/kg. Other localities have not recorded any new price fluctuations, in which, the lowest price in the region of 64,000 VND/kg was recorded in Bac Lieu and Tra Vinh. The remaining localities recorded a price of 66,000 VND/kg.
