According to the report of the General Department of Customs, pepper exports in the first half of July 2022 reached 9,085 tons of all kinds of pepper, with a turnover value of 37.32 million USD, bringing the export volume in the first 6.5 months of the year to 132,660 tons, down 21% in volume but up 9.02% in value over the same period last year. The average export price of pepper in the period reached 4,108 USD/ton, down 0.6% compared to the average export price of June 2022. Vietnam’s pepper market this week has been more vibrant, thanks to positive buying signals from the northern border. Traders are more active and buy at a price difference compared to online references, helping pepper prices have a good week of increase. On the macro side, the decrease in the USD and the cooling of oil and gas have made commodity markets less burdened and more prosperous. Regarding the world pepper market, the international pepper community believes that the market is fluctuating in opposite directions.
