Today’s domestic pepper price on August 9, 2022 has decreased by 500 – 1,000 VND/kg. Currently, domestic pepper prices are trading at 70,500 – 73,500 VND/kg. Today, domestic pepper prices are decreasing by 500 – 1,000 VND/kg compared to the same time yesterday. In which, the Central Highlands region decreased more than the Southeast region. According to preliminary statistics of VPA, Vietnam’s pepper exports in July 2022 reached 18,623 tons. Of which, black pepper reached 16,546 tons, white pepper reached 2,077 tons. Total pepper export turnover reached 78.6 million USD; with black pepper reaching 66.7 million USD, and white pepper reaching 11.9 million USD. Compared to the previous month, export volume decreased by 23.1%, turnover decreased by 21.7%. Singapore became the largest importer of Vietnamese pepper in July with an import volume of 2,806 tons, followed by the US market: 2,736 tons, UAE: 1,738 tons. China: 1,227 tons… By the end of July 2022, Vietnam exported 144,176 tons of pepper of all kinds, black pepper reached 123,251 tons, white pepper reached 20,925 tons. Total export turnover reached 647.4 million USD, black pepper reached 523.1 million USD, white pepper reached 124.3 million USD. Compared to the same period last year, our country’s pepper export volume decreased by 20.8% equivalent to 37,822 tons (black pepper decreased by 38,874 tons, white pepper increased by 1,052 tons).
