According to data from the Korean Customs Agency, pepper imports into Korea in the first 6 months of this year reached 4,713 tons, up sharply by 34% over the same period in 2021. Currently, the Vietnamese pepper industry occupies the position of number one and important supplier in the Korean market. Meanwhile, to reduce the negative impact of high inflation, Korea has applied zero import tariffs on 26 industrial and food products since the beginning of the year.
