Pepper prices today, August 19, 2022, in the domestic market turned down by 500 – 1,000 VND/kg. Pepper is currently trading around 68,500 – 71,000 VND/kg. The world pepper market has been negative in recent days, as export pepper prices from Indonesia and India decreased slightly this week. Meanwhile, Vietnam’s export pepper prices are falling sharply by 200 USD/ton. The World Pepper Community believes that the pepper market is currently continuing to be in a downward price zone in the third quarter of 2022. The reason is that the world is struggling with demand erosion when the deficit turns into excess inventory, currency devaluation, inflation and low consumer demand. The World Pepper Community expects the pepper market to stabilize and increase in November and December this year. It can be seen that commodity prices in general, coffee and pepper prices in particular, are being negatively affected by concerns about the rising risks of the Chinese economy, as well as the possibility of the USD continuing to increase sharply. The domestic pepper market is turning to decrease. In particular, the Southeast provinces are decreasing sharply by 1,000 VND/kg, while the provinces in the Central Highlands are decreasing by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Currently, the World Pepper Community has listed the export price of black and white pepper from Vietnam down by 200 USD/ton, equivalent to 3,550 USD/ton of 500g/l black pepper and 5,400 USD/ton of white pepper. This is a sharp decrease, and the second consecutive decrease in the past month. Currently, investors are focusing their capital on coffee; while potential agents are taking advantage of holding on to goods, waiting for pepper prices to increase to sell. #pepper #hotpepper #news #agriculture #nhanong #mientay #taynguyen #pepper #pepper price today #pepper price #pepper today #pepper price udaklak #pepper price ubinhphuoc #pepper price dongnai #the latest pepper price
