Latest fertilizer prices on January 28, 2022 | Fertilizer prices of all kinds are stagnant at a high level. Fertilizer demand in the regions is quite slow. People are busy harvesting agricultural products to serve the Lunar New Year. Many agricultural materials in our country are heavily dependent on imports. The Vietnam Fertilizer Association said that each year Vietnam needs to use 11 million tons of fertilizer, while the capacity of domestic factories is about 7.3 million tons. Therefore, on average, Vietnam has to import 3.5 to 4 million tons of fertilizer each year. Of which, potassium and SA fertilizers are not yet produced domestically, so 100% must be imported with a quantity of about 1 million tons/year. Fertilizer costs currently account for 21-25% of the total cost of agricultural production.
