Today’s rice prices in the Mekong Delta provinces remain stable, with fresh IR 50404 rice unexpectedly increasing by 200 VND. Today, the market is slow, many checkpoints for Covid safety checks recently set up by localities have slowed down delivery speed. According to estimates by the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), last week, the price of regular rice in the field increased by an average of 114 VND/kg compared to the previous week, currently at an average price of 5,200 VND/kg; the price of regular rice in the warehouse also increased sharply by 210 VND/kg, to 6,390 VND/kg.
