fertilizer prices today, May 16, 2022: In the past week, the price of Urea fertilizer in localities has decreased slightly by about 300 – 500 VND/kg. Fertilizer prices increased as if “fuel was added to the fire” when the conflict between Russia and Ukraine occurred, resulting in economic sanctions and disruptions of trade routes to and from the Black Sea. Since March 10, Russia has completely stopped exporting fertilizer to the world. This has led to an imbalance in the global fertilizer supply. The sharp increase in world fertilizer prices has made it impossible for the domestic Fertilizer market to avoid consequences. Accordingly, in the past month, the prices of all types of fertilizers in the Mekong Delta have increased by 1,000 – 1,900 VND/kg compared to the previous month, to the highest level in 50 years. Currently, the domestic retail price of DAP fluctuates around 22,400 VND/kg, potassium 19,500 VND/kg, urea 18,200 VND/kg.
