fertilizer prices today, June 25, 2022: Domestic urea and potassium prices continued to decrease slightly compared to the previous day. Prices of some raw materials for fertilizer production decreased slightly or remained unchanged. In the Chinese market, urea prices edged up 0.1% and traded at 3,095 yuan/ton (461 USD/ton), the second day of increase after a continuous decrease since June 14. Prices are currently about 5% lower than the peak. DAP prices remained unchanged at 4,333 yuan/ton (646 USD/ton), unchanged since June 16. The market also recorded a slight decrease in some raw materials for fertilizer production. Yellow phosphorus prices decreased 0.3% to 3,863 yuan/ton (576 USD/ton). Sulfur decreased 0.1% to 12,000 yuan/ton (1,790 USD/ton). Last week, sulfur prices fell 0.3%. In another development, with fertilizer prices heating up globally, major investors in the world are planning to build fertilizer factories in Africa, as fertilizer sanctions against Russia and Belarus have not stopped. If this becomes a reality, opening more fertilizer factories in Africa will help solve the problem of fertilizer shortages worldwide. However, the European Council has opposed the plan to build fertilizer factories in Africa because it is considered inconsistent with the EU’s energy and environmental policies. According to EU officials, the production of chemical fertilizers has a large impact on the environment and requires large amounts of energy. #fertilizer_price #farmers #western region #fertilizer_price #fertilizer #fertilizer #potassium_price #agriculture #fertilizer #agricultural materials #news #agriculture
