fertilizer prices today, February 26, 2023: Fertilizer prices continue to stabilize. Experts predict a global supply crisis if there is a shortage of potash from Russia and Belarus. Russia and Belarus are two of the world’s largest potash producing countries. According to Mr. Seitz – CEO of Nutrien Ltd. in Canada, fertilizer exports from Belarus have fallen by at least half in 2021, after previously predicting a decrease of 1/3 to 2/3, while Russian exports of this item have also decreased by up to 25%. Fertilizer market experts said that at least 60% of new fertilizer production expected to hit the market in the next 5 years will still come from Russia and Belarus, and predicted that the volume of fertilizer is still a mystery when it is not clear how much of it will be easily transported to the market. Currently, world fertilizer prices are falling across the board as farmers in all countries are delaying investment and buying in anticipation of lower prices, causing local surpluses. Meanwhile, potash fertilizer prices continue to remain high at the beginning of the year due to Western sanctions against Belarus. Domestic potash prices, following the general world situation, have fallen sharply, but according to many people, are still at high levels. #fertilizer_price #farmers #western region #fertilizer_price #fertilizer #fertilizer #potassium_price #agriculture #fertilizer #agricultural materials #news #agriculture
