fertilizer prices today, August 7, 2022: Fertilizer prices continue to move sideways, stable at a high level. Currently, although gasoline prices have decreased, fertilizer and pesticide prices are always high; meanwhile, the low output prices of many agricultural products are a burden for farmers. In order to maintain, reproduce profitably, and stabilize their lives, farmers in the Mekong Delta have been flexible and proactive in applying many cost-saving solutions and improving the quality of agricultural products. Mr. Tran Thien Thanh, a member of Truong Phat Agricultural Cooperative, O Mon District, Can Tho City, said that in the past, growing durian trees had a stable income for members. Now, due to the high prices of fertilizers and pesticides, farmers’ income has decreased accordingly. Specifically, in the past, fertilizers accounted for about 15% of costs, but now it has increased to 25 – 30%, and many types of fertilizers have increased 2 to 3 times. The high price of fertilizer has forced people to change their farming practices, switching to using organic fertilizer, reducing costs but still ensuring the quality of the products. #fertilizer_price #farmers #western_region #fertilizer_price #fertilizer #fertilizer #organic_fertilizer #agricultural_materials #news #agriculture
