fertilizer prices today, April 24, 2022: Fertilizer prices of all kinds continue to remain stable after yesterday’s adjustment. Fertilizer prices in the second half of April are at a very high level and are trending up to reach new peaks in the third quarter of this year. Fertilizer prices are expected to continue to increase in the coming time, especially for DAP and Potassium. For DAP, domestic supply is unstable, cheap inventories have run out, while imports are facing many difficulties due to limited supply in the world market. Russia may extend the fertilizer export quota until the end of the year instead of May, but currently still bans fertilizer exports to unfriendly countries. The Middle East is still facing ammonia shortage problems, while China continues to cut fertilizer capacity, many factories run at less than 50% to ensure environmental issues and input materials are rising beyond the threshold. Thus, the world’s fertilizer supply is unlikely to increase as China and Russia are showing signs of imposing stricter measures to limit exports. Input materials for factories have increased sharply, especially sulfur and ammonia, making it less pressure for manufacturers to reduce prices. In this situation, Mr. Vu Duy Hai, General Director of Vinacam, commented that the price of imported DAP 64 will climb to 28 – 30 million VND/ton in the third quarter of this year. Domestic potassium inventories are also running out, and Vietnam will be forced to import at the new price on the world market. Therefore, it is forecasted that by the third quarter of this year, the price of potassium will reach 20 – 22 million VND/ton for powdered potassium and 23 – 25 million VND/ton for flakes. #fertilizer_price #farmers #western region #fertilizer_price #fertilizer #fertilizer #fertilizer #potassium_price #agriculture #fertilizer #agricultural materials
