Fertilizer imports from Russia increased dramatically Despite the pandemic and war tensions, fertilizer exports from Russia to Vietnam in the first 5 months of the year were nearly 87 million USD, an increase of nearly 60% over the same period last year. According to statistics from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first 6 months of the year, Vietnam imported 1.8 million tons of fertilizer, equivalent to 856 million USD, down 22.5% in volume but up 32.3% in value over the same period last year. Of which, fertilizer imported from Russia had a sudden growth rate. In the first 5 months of the year, fertilizer imports from this country reached 86.8 million USD, an increase of more than 59% over the same period in 2021. Next is the Chinese market, the import value of this item increased by 27.7%.
