Coffee prices today (September 20) continued to be stable in the domestic market, with the highest level of 47,500 VND/kg. In this morning’s session, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York Stock Exchange increased by nearly 3% to 224.05 US cents/pound. In the world market, coffee prices fluctuated in opposite directions. Accordingly, the online price of Robusta coffee in London for delivery in September 2022 was recorded at 2,186 USD/ton after decreasing by 1.09% (equivalent to 24 USD). The price of Arabica coffee for delivery in September 2022 in New York reached 224.05 US cents/pound, up 2.75% (equivalent to 6 US cents) at the time of survey at 7:00 a.m. (Vietnam time). Along with low inventories, the decrease in global coffee exports further increased concerns about supply. According to the International Coffee Organization (ICO), global coffee exports in July reached 10.1 million bags (60kg/bag), down 6.6% compared to the same period last year. In the first 10 months of the 2021-2022 crop year (October 2021 to July 2022), global coffee exports decreased by 0.3% compared to the same period last year, down to 108.8 million bags. In general, exports decreased in most regions except Asia and Oceania. Specifically, coffee exports from South America decreased by 8.5% in the first 10 months of the current crop year, reaching 42.2 million bags. During this period, shipments from Brazil, the world’s largest coffee exporter, fell by 12.4% to 32 million bags from 37.2 million bags in the same period of the 2020-2021 crop year. Exports from Colombia also fell by 13.2% from October last year to July this year, reaching only 10.3 million bags. Mainly due to prolonged adverse weather conditions that reduced the country’s coffee supply. In contrast, coffee exports from the Asia and Oceania region in July increased by 4% to 3.2 million bags. Thereby, the region’s exports in the first 10 months of the crop year to 37.6 million bags, a sharp increase of 16% compared to the previous crop year. Vietnam, the second largest exporter and the world’s largest supplier of robusta, exported nearly 2 million bags of coffee in July, down 1.9% compared to the same period. However, in the first 10 months of the 2021-2022 crop year, Vietnam’s coffee exports still increased sharply by 17.9% to 24.7 million bags. In addition, India’s coffee exports increased by 10.8% in July and increased by 28.9% after the first 10 months of the crop year, reaching 6.1 million bags. Indonesia’s exports in July also increased by 31.6% to 0.6 million bags and in the period from October 2021 to July increased by 0.2% to 5.6 million bags. Coffee exports from the African region in July reached 1.4 million bags, down 13.1% over the same period. In the first 10 months of the current crop, the region’s exports reached 11.4 million bags, down from 11.8 million bags in the same period in 2020-2021. Meanwhile, in Central America and Mexico, exports fell sharply by 16.2% in July compared to the same period last year, reaching only 1.5 million bags. In the 10 months, the Central America and Mexico coffee exports reached 13.6 million bags, down 5.6% compared to the same period last year. This decline came from Honduras, the largest exporter in the region, which fell by 17.9% compared to the same period last year, down to only 4.3 million bags since the beginning of the crop year. Less rainfall during the fruit-setting period in some coffee growing areas, as well as high rust incidence as a result of hurricanes Eta and Iota in 2020, were the main reasons for the decline in Honduras’ output. #coffee_price #coffee_price_today #latest_coffee_price #standard_coffee_price #coffee_price_trend #coffee_price #coffee_price #agriculture #nhannong #mientay #lamdong_coffee_price #edaklak_coffee_price #daknong_coffee_price #gialai_coffee_price #kontum_coffee_price #world_coffee_price
