Coffee prices today, October 25, 2022, in both domestic and world markets decreased simultaneously. Currently, domestic coffee prices have dropped sharply to 42,400 – 43,000 VND/kg. In the world market, coffee prices today have decreased simultaneously on both major trading floors. In the latest trading session, Robusta coffee prices on the London floor for November 2022 delivery fell sharply by 44 USD/ton, down to 1,957 USD/ton. And coffee prices for January 2023 delivery on this floor are also decreasing by 43 USD/ton, down to 1,953 USD/ton. Meanwhile, Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor for December 2022 delivery decreased slightly by 0.5 cents/lb, to 190.4 cents/lb. For March 2023 delivery, coffee prices on this exchange also decreased slightly by 0.85 cents/lb, trading at 184.95 cents/lb. The world coffee market today fell sharply as the local currencies of Brazil and Vietnam continued to decline against the USD. Meanwhile, inventories on both exchanges showed signs of increasing again. Arabica coffee prices decreased slightly more than Robusta. Experts said that speculators are likely to take advantage of currency factors and inventory data to manipulate coffee prices, when they sell mercilessly, forcing the market to fall continuously. Arabica coffee prices are at their lowest level in the past 13 months and have not shown signs of improvement even though prices have been in the oversold zone for a long time. Recently, USDX returned to an upward trend after Xi Jinping took power for another 5 years, causing the market to worry that the world’s largest consumer of goods would continue to strengthen its “unfriendly” Zero Covid policy, and the Yuan fell to its lowest level since 2008. The pressure on Robusta coffee on the London floor increased further when Vietnam officially entered the new harvest season of the 2022/2023 coffee crop with an estimated output of more than 30 million bags, which will be released to the market in about 5-7 weeks. According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, coffee exports in the first half of October reached 36,156 tons, with a cumulative increase of 11.05% in the first 9.5 months of the crop to 23.01 million bags. The export value also increased sharply by 35.45%, equivalent to 3.16 billion USD. This information reflects the abundant supply of Robusta coffee, pushing this coffee product to continue to slide. At this time, the Central Highlands of Vietnam will enter the coffee harvest season. In the last months of the year, coffee prices are forecast to continue to rise. The increase in deeply processed coffee products by exporting enterprises is considered the main driving force to help Vietnam’s export turnover flourish and possibly achieve the target of 4 billion USD set this year. The goal from now until 2025 is to replant 75,000 hectares of coffee, graft and renovate 32,000 hectares of coffee, of which Arabica coffee accounts for about 20% of the total area. In addition, most of the replanted coffee area is planted with new varieties, giving high yield and superior quality. #coffee_price #coffee_price_today #latest_coffee_price #standard_coffee_price #coffee_price_trend #coffee_price #coffee_price #agriculture #nhannong #mientay #lamdong_coffee_price #edaklak_coffee_price #daknong_coffee_price #gialai_coffee_price #kontum_coffee_price #world_coffee_price
