The world coffee price last week was affected by the Fed’s decision to increase the USD operating interest rate by 0.75% to 3.75 – 4%/year. It is possible that the Fed will raise interest rates by 0.5% at the year-end meeting and it is not excluded that it will exceed the expected 4.75%/year. Fears of increased risks have caused speculators to rush to withdraw capital from the markets in general, causing the USD value to fluctuate quite strongly at times last week. But those times were also opportunities for funds and speculators in the coffee derivatives markets to return to buying. This caused coffee to increase slightly. On the contrary, abundant supply is restraining the price increase of coffee. As of the end of October 2022, Robusta coffee inventories certified and monitored by the London exchange had increased by 1,430 tons, or 1.61% compared to the previous week, to 90,230 tons (equivalent to 1,503,833 bags, 60 kg bags). Weather information in the main coffee growing regions in southern Brazil in recent times has been very favorable rain, supporting the coffee trees to produce new flowers, promising that the 2023 crop will be a record. In addition, the ongoing harvest of the new crop of the 2022/2023 coffee crop in major producing countries (including Vietnam) continues to weigh on markets. The General Statistics Office of Vietnam estimates that coffee exports in October reached about 80,000 tons, down 19.50% compared to the same period last year. This has brought our country’s coffee exports in the first 10 months of 2022 to a total of 1.4 million tons (about 23.33 million bags), an increase of 10.60% compared to the first 10 months of 2021. #coffee_price #coffee_price_today #latest_coffee_price #standard_coffee_price #coffee_price_trend #coffee_price #coffee_price #agriculture #nhanong #mientay #lamdong_coffee_price #edaklak_coffee_price #daknong_coffee_price #gialai_coffee_price #kontum_coffee_price #worldwide_coffee_price
