Coffee prices today, June 12, 2022, in the domestic market remained at 41,500 – 42,100 VND/kg. This week, the domestic coffee market dropped sharply by 1,000 VND/kg. At the end of the latest trading session, the price of Robusta coffee on the London floor for delivery in July 2022 was at 2,077 USD/ton, and for delivery in September 2022 was at 2,095 USD/ton. Meanwhile, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York floor for delivery in July 2022 was at 228.9 cents/lb, and for delivery in September 2022 was at 228.8 cents/lb. The world coffee market remained stable today. Overall, this week, world coffee prices are decreasing compared to last week. Specifically, the price of Robusta coffee in London for delivery in July 2022 decreased by 59 USD/ton, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in July 2022 decreased by 3.5 cents/lb. This is the second consecutive week of decline since the beginning of the month of the market. During the week, although the downward trend was the main trend, Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor still had supporting factors. Meanwhile, Robusta coffee prices on the London floor had a week of decline in all 5 trading sessions. The reason for this is that the long-term yield of US Treasury bonds fell below 3%, which did not support the prices of raw materials in general and coffee in particular. Experts believe that there are two important factors that can change the price of coffee derivatives from now until the end of the year as follows: the rate of increase in the US dollar’s operating interest rate and weather factors in Brazil. These two impacts are not compatible but also cancel each other out. Moreover, if anything happens to the weather in the Brazilian coffee regions, even if it is just a rumor, it will push the prices of the two coffee exchanges up sharply. But depending on the accuracy of the weather news, the price fluctuations will be sustainable or not. Experience over the past decades has shown that prices based on weather factors are often unstable. Meanwhile, the percentage increase in the US dollar’s operating interest rate is becoming clearer. From now until the end of the year, financial businesses believe that the US central bank will increase by at least 1.5% to control inflation. The higher the interest rate increases, the greater the financial costs for business operations. Therefore, businesses are often cautious when deciding to buy goods, reducing long-term storage and only buying enough to resolve outstanding contracts. #coffee_price #coffee_price_today #latest_coffee_price #standard_coffee_price #coffee_price_trend #cafe_price #coffee_price #agriculture #nhanong #mientay
