Coffee prices today, July 12, 2022, in the world and domestic markets both decreased. In particular, domestic coffee prices decreased slightly by 300 VND/kg, to 41,400 – 41,900 VND/kg. In the world market, coffee prices today decreased simultaneously on both major trading floors. At the end of the latest trading session, Robusta coffee prices on the London floor for September 2022 delivery decreased by 15 USD/ton to 1,966 USD/ton, and for November 2022 delivery decreased by 19 USD/ton to 1,963 USD/ton. Meanwhile, Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor for September 2022 delivery decreased by 7.2 cents/lb, to 213.25 cents/lb, and for November 2022 delivery decreased by 7 cents/lb, to 210.6 cents/lb. The world coffee market continued to decline due to the strong increase in the USD value index DXY, pushing other currencies into a weak position. The USD continued to increase this morning, reaching 108.14 – the highest level since October 2002, while the Euro continued to decrease sharply, almost equal to the greenback. Coffee futures exchanges were under pressure to decrease, due to fundamental factors after positive export reports from major coffee producers and the greenback increased throughout the past week. Last week, the Fed released the meeting minutes showing its determination to prevent excessive inflation, and the response of central banks in tightening monetary policies. As a result, the DXY continued to be strong in commodity markets, causing prices of many commodities to be under downward pressure, including the gold market, which is often chosen by speculators as a safe haven, and the crude oil market, which is receiving active support from the energy crisis. Investors in financial markets are still watching developments that will impact the Fed’s policy meeting on July 26-27. The Fed is expected to maintain a 0.75% increase to actively prevent a general economic recession. #coffee_price #coffee_price_today #latest_coffee_price #standard_coffee_price #coffee_price_trend #cafe_price #coffee_price #agriculture #nhanong #mientay
