Coffee prices today, October 14, 2022, in the world market continued to decrease. Domestic coffee prices decreased by 800 VND/kg, to 45,300 – 45,800 VND/kg. In the world market, coffee prices today continued to decrease on 2 major trading floors. In the latest trading session, Robusta coffee prices on the London floor for November 2022 delivery turned sharply down by 43 USD/ton, to 2,099 USD/ton. And coffee prices for January 2023 delivery on this floor are also decreasing by 44 USD/ton, to 2,097 USD/ton. Meanwhile, Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor for December 2022 delivery are also decreasing by 7.6 cents/lb, to 202.15 cents/lb. For March 2023 delivery, coffee prices on this floor decreased by another 5.35 cents/lb, down to 196.05 cents/lb. Today, the world coffee market continued to have a second session of decline after the US announced the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in September. The general commodity market also decreased sharply. In particular, Robusta coffee prices fell to the lowest level in the past 2 months, while Arabica coffee was at the lowest level in 3 months. The US Consumer Price Index (CPI) in September increased by 0.4%, higher than the 0.3% forecast by experts. Compared to the same period, total inflation increased by 8.2%, much lower than the 9% in June but still fluctuating near the highest level since the early 1980s. Thus, inflation in the US is still increasing despite the Fed’s efforts to curb price increases. The central bank has raised interest rates by a total of 3 percentage points since March 2022. September CPI data further strengthens the case for a fourth consecutive 0.75 percentage point rate hike at the November 1-2 meeting. Money flows out of risky assets, specifically agricultural products, including coffee on both exchanges that were not spared from the sell-off. The food price index rose 0.8% month-on-month, equal to the increase in August and up 11.2% year-on-year. Meanwhile, energy prices fell 2.1%, including a 4.9% drop in gasoline prices. According to the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Association (Cecafe), Brazil’s coffee exports in September reached 3.07 million bags, up 7.10% year-on-year. Of which, Arabica coffee increased by 18% while Robusta coffee decreased by 62.2% compared to the same period last year. This explains why Arabica coffee prices decreased more sharply than Robusta coffee prices in the last two sessions. #coffee_price #coffee_price_today #latest_coffee_price #standard_coffee_price #coffee_price_trend #coffee_price #coffee_price #agriculture #nhannong #mientay #lamdong_coffee_price #edaklak_coffee_price #daknong_coffee_price #gialai_coffee_price #kontum_coffee_price #world_coffee_price
