Pepper prices today, September 28, in the domestic market remained stable after a downward adjustment session. Currently, domestic pepper prices fluctuate around 63,500 – 66,000 VND/kg. In the world market, in the trading session on September 27, the World Pepper Community listed a decrease in prices for Lampung black pepper (Indonesia), ASTA Indian black pepper, and Brazilian black pepper (ASTA 570). Accordingly, Indonesian Lampung black pepper decreased to 3,846 USD/ton, down 10 USD/ton compared to yesterday. Indian black pepper decreased by 58 USD/ton to 6,316 USD/ton. Brazilian black pepper (ASTA) decreased by 100 USD/ton to 2,650 USD/ton. Malaysian black pepper and Vietnamese black pepper remained stable at 5,900 USD/ton and 3,350 USD/ton, respectively. For white pepper, the World Pepper Community kept the same price for Vietnamese white pepper (5,300 USD/ton) and Malaysian white pepper (7,600 USD/ton), while listing a decrease of 15 USD/ton to 6,251 USD/ton for Muntok pepper (Indonesia). Inflation reduces purchasing power, high financial costs for commodity traders and public spending of governments, and it also prevents savings among the people. Therefore, spices such as pepper will be cut spending. Decreased demand leads to increased inventories, stagnant exports and continuous decline in pepper prices, which is inevitable. Global pepper trade in the first 8 months of the year recorded a decline decreased in most major suppliers. Of which, Vietnam is still the world’s largest pepper exporter with a volume of 160,891 tons, but compared to the same period, Vietnam’s exports decreased sharply by 18.6%. Similarly, the pepper export volume of Brazil and Indonesia also decreased by 7.4% and 12.5%, respectively. However, pepper exports from Vietnam and Brazil in August showed positive improvements compared to the same period last year. In August, black pepper prices in producing countries continued to fluctuate in opposite directions. A downward trend was recorded for pepper export prices from Vietnam (down 7.5 – 8%) and Brazil (down 2.5%), but increased by more than 10% in Indonesia and increased by 1.4% in India. Entering September, pepper prices from all countries decreased except Indonesia, which continued to increase by 1.6% to 4,142 USD/ton as of September 15, the highest level since the end of last year. #pepper #pepper #news #agriculture #nhanong #mientay #taynguyen #pepper #pepper price today #pepper price #pepper today #udaklak pepper price #ubinhphuoc pepper price #dongnai pepper price #freshest pepper price today #freshest pepper price #vungtau pepper price #gialai pepper price #udaknong pepper price
