Pepper prices today, September 22, in the domestic market have slowed down after many sessions of downward adjustment. Currently, pepper prices fluctuate around 64,000 – 67,000 VND/kg. Thus, Pepper prices today in the domestic market have stopped falling after many consecutive sessions of decline. According to assessments, the amount of inventory in the population and at large companies and agents is still quite large. Taking advantage of this period, many Vietnamese companies have increased pepper imports from other countries. It is estimated that the inventory before entering this year’s harvest is about 100,000 tons – a fairly large number when exports to China have not been able to break through. In the first 8 months of 2022, Vietnam imported 27,917 tons, of which black pepper reached 24,293 tons, white pepper reached 3,624 tons, compared to the same period last year, the import volume increased by 44.9% equivalent to 8,645 tons. Cambodia, Brazil and Indonesia continue to be the three main pepper suppliers to Vietnam, reaching 24,463 tons, with total imports from these three markets accounting for 87.6%, of which imports from Cambodia reached 12,221 tons, up 168%, Brazil reached 7,393 tons, up 34.8%, Indonesia reached 4,898 tons, down 31.3%. Regarding domestic production, some growing areas in Vietnam recorded pepper flowering thanks to favorable weather conditions. In the 2021-2022 crop year, pepper farmers are excited because pepper prices have increased again after many years of stability at a low level. In recent months, pepper prices have decreased many times and are currently fluctuating at 64-66 thousand VND/kg, down more than 20 thousand VND/kg compared to the good price of the previous harvest. The reason is that although the export market has improved, it still faces many difficulties. According to forecasts from some pepper exporting enterprises in Dong Nai province, pepper exports will still face many difficulties in the coming time due to the impact of political tensions in Eastern Europe and China’s “Zero Covid” policy. In addition, many countries in the world, including Vietnam, are about to enter a new harvest season with the expectation of better productivity, exporters are boosting sales to prepare for the new season. #pepper #pepper #news #agriculture #nhanong #mientay #taynguyen #pepper #pepper price today #pepper price #pepper today #udaklak pepper price #ubinhphuoc pepper price #dongnai pepper price #freshest pepper price today #freshest pepper price #vungtau pepper price #gialai pepper price #udaknong pepper price
