Pepper prices today, September 21, in the domestic market continued to decrease by 500 VND/kg in localities. Currently, pepper prices fluctuate around 64,000 – 67,000 VND/kg. Thus, Pepper prices today in the domestic market continue to decline when there is no demand support from exports in the context of the USD continuing to increase. At the beginning of this week, the World Pepper Community continued to maintain the export prices of black and white pepper from Vietnam, Malaysia, and India; while sharply reducing pepper export prices in Indonesia and Brazil. Notably, Indonesian Lampung black pepper was adjusted down by more than 200 USD/ton. According to the latest news from the Vietnam Pepper Association, the market last week (September 12 – 18, 2022) showed mixed reactions, with only domestic white pepper prices in Malaysia recording an increase. Specifically, pepper prices from India and Sri Lanka continued to be stable last week. Indonesian pepper prices are stable due to low supply and limited exports. Only domestic Malaysian white pepper prices showed an increase last week. Meanwhile, other types were stable and unchanged. Meanwhile, Vietnamese white pepper prices traded on the international market recorded stability. Types continued to decrease due to the 1% depreciation of the Vietnamese Dong against the USD (23,700 VND/USD). Some growing areas in Vietnam recorded pepper flowering thanks to favorable weather conditions. Faced with difficulties in the pepper market, localities are strongly shifting towards organic pepper cultivation. According to a report by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dong Nai province, up to now, the whole province has 3.5 hectares of pepper certified as organic products by Lam San Agricultural Cooperative (Cam My district) and many production models have been established without using chemical inputs. The propaganda work in recent times has contributed to raising awareness among farmers, so producers are gradually reducing chemical inputs and switching to using organic inputs and products of biological origin. Dong Nai aims to have the area of organic agricultural land reach about 1.5% of the total agricultural land area by 2025, equivalent to about 33 thousand hectares. #pepper #pepper #news #agriculture #nhanong #mientay #taynguyen #pepper #pepper price today #pepper price #pepper today #udaklak pepper price #ubinhphuoc pepper price #dongnai pepper price #freshest pepper price today #freshest pepper price #vungtau pepper price #gialai pepper price #udaknong pepper price
