Pepper prices today, July 10, 2022, in the country, remained at 67,500 – 70,500 VND/kg. This week, the domestic pepper market decreased by 2,000 VND/kg. The Pepper Community assessed that the domestic pepper market this week continued to react in mixed ways when only Sri Lankan domestic pepper prices increased. Indian pepper prices tended to decrease. Indonesian pepper prices reacted negatively as the domestic currency continued to weaken against the USD. The Vietnam Pepper Association assessed that due to the impact of global economic inflation, most of Vietnam’s major import markets reduced their imports. The average pepper export price of our country in the first half of this year is estimated at 4,546 USD/ton, an increase of 41% over the same period in 2021. This has helped pepper export turnover to still grow despite a 19% decrease in volume. Most commodity market prices are temporarily slowing down, as speculators withdraw capital due to concerns about increased risks ahead of the Fed’s July monetary policy meeting. The rising USD price is weighing on commodity prices. The increase in USD interest rates will reduce people’s demand for goods, as well as weaken the need for businesses to expand investment. According to assessments, Vietnam’s pepper exports may slow down in the coming quarters as consumers in key export markets such as the US and Europe tighten their spending. Meanwhile, although the Chinese market has accelerated, pepper prices are not expected to increase again in the short term. The Chinese market imported 2,999 tons of pepper in June 2022, higher than the total import volume from January to May of 2,610 tons, bringing China’s total import volume in the first 6 months of 2022 to 5,609 tons, however, China’s imports decreased by 80.2% over the same period. #pepper #hotpepper #news #agriculture #nhanong #mientay #taynguyen #pepper #pepper price today #pepper price #pepper price today #pepper price udaklak #pepper price ubinhphuoc #pepper price dongnai #pepper price the latest x
