Some businesses are purchasing rice in Hau Giang and Can Tho, about 1-1.5 months from now. Summer-Autumn rice will be harvested in about 1.5-2 months from now, with a good amount in the provinces. The price of rice in some fields offered by farmers increased slightly by 50, however, traders did not dare to close the new purchase price due to concerns about low rice prices and poor quality of early-season rice. Summer-Autumn rice was harvested earliest at the end of May in Co Do field (Can Tho) and Cao Lanh, Thap Muoi (Dong Thap).
