Rice price today July 23, 2022: Rice price continues to decrease by 50 – 150 VND/kg

Today’s rice prices in the Mekong Delta provinces have decreased by 50 – 150 VND/kg. Domestic rice prices continued to decline this week. In the world market, the export price of Vietnamese rice remains stable. Specifically, the current export price of 5% broken rice from Vietnam is stable at 418 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 403 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 383 USD/ton. With this price, Vietnamese rice is currently 5 – 20 USD/ton higher than Thai rice depending on the type. Currently, the export price of Thai rice in the world market is only 397 USD/ton (5% broken rice), 389 USD/ton (25% broken rice) and 378 USD/ton (100% broken rice). Thus, among the four traditional rice exporting countries of Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan and India, currently only 5% and 25% of Vietnamese rice tons have prices above 400 USD/ton.
