However, the value of fertilizer exports in the first quarter of 2022 reached 291 million USD, 2.8 times higher than the same period last year… According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in 2021, the whole country exported over 1.35 million tons of fertilizer, earning 559.35 million USD; up 16.4% in volume, up 64.2% in turnover. In 2021, the average fertilizer export price reached 413.4 USD/ton, up 41.2% compared to 2020. In the first 2 months of 2022, Cambodia still ranked first in fertilizer consumption in Vietnam, reaching 53,133 tons, equivalent to over 25.55 million USD; down 12.4% in volume, but up 35.5% in turnover compared to the first 2 months of 2021; accounting for 15% of the total volume and 10.6% of the total fertilizer export turnover of the whole country. Korea is the second largest market with 20,994 tons, equivalent to 16.53 million USD, with an average price of 787.2 USD/ton, a sharp increase in both volume, turnover and price compared to the same period in 2021, with corresponding increases of 111.5%, 435.9% and 153.4%; accounting for over 6% of the total volume and 6.8% of the total turnover.
