fertilizer prices today, April 15, 2022: DAP offers increased but the market traded slowly. URE prices have risen back to the peak of 2021. DAP: World DAP prices remained stable. Buyers accepted the price of $1,050-1,080 FOB After a sharp increase, world DAP prices showed signs of slowing down this week. Pakistan bought 2 ships from Saudi Arabia at $1,025 CFR, $80 higher than the previous transaction. India continued to wait, while China fixed the price at 1050-1080 FOB. Brazil continued to be a bright spot with a stable price of 1300 CFR. We recorded some offers to Vietnam at a price of 1150-1200 CFR for Lao Cai border gate (equivalent to the cost price of around 30 million VND/ton in Ho Chi Minh City). At this price, it would be quite risky for Vietnamese importers to consider purchasing. The supply from domestic manufacturers is even more limited when the issue of raw materials has not been completely resolved, while the majority of the production volume is prioritized for the export market. For example, Dinh Vu DAP (according to unverified information) only produced about 50,000 tons in the first quarter but apparently reserved 40,000 tons for export. We know that Dinh Vu is actively working with the Chemical Group to request approval to increase the purchase price of phosphate to match the market price. If successful, it can increase capacity to 70,000 tons per quarter. The domestic market is trading imported DAP 64 at 26-27,000 VND/kg and Dinh Vu has just issued a document increasing the price from 21-22,000 VND/kg to 22-23,000 VND/kg for DAP 60 but the supply is limited. DAP Lao Cai cannot sell regularly because in addition to problems with input materials, the gypsum landfill is full beyond the design capacity, seriously affecting the environment. Russia may extend the export quota until the end of the year instead of May, but currently still bans fertilizer exports to unfriendly countries. The Middle East is still facing ammonia shortage problems, while China continues to cut capacity, many factories run at less than 50%, to ensure environmental issues and the problem of input materials increasing beyond the threshold. Thus, world supply is unlikely to increase as China and Russia are showing signs of imposing stricter measures to restrict exports. Input materials for factories have increased sharply, especially sulfur and ammonia, making it less pressure for manufacturers to reduce prices. Although the Vietnamese market has adjusted sideways after a sharp increase, we believe that the market will soon increase in price again when cheap inventories are exhausted, combined with massive exports and the approaching harvest season. It is expected that imported DAP 64 prices will climb to VND 28 – 30,000,000/ton in the third quarter of 2022. #fertilizer_price #farmers #western region #fertilizer_price #fertilizer #fertilizer #fertilizer #potassium_price #agriculture #fertilizer #agricultural materials
