In particular, the source of OM 18 rice is low, factories offer high prices. In the export market, export rice prices have leveled off and tend to move sideways after an upward adjustment session. According to the Vietnam Food Association, the export price of 5% broken rice is at 448 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 433 USD/ton. While the rice export market is forecasted by businesses to still have many bright spots, in the domestic market, the Vietnamese rice industry in recent years has made many changes towards large-scale, professional field production. Rice quality and price have gradually improved, and the market has expanded accordingly. These are positive signs that the Vietnamese rice brand has achieved in the past 2-3 years. Regarding the autumn-winter rice crop, the Mekong Delta localities have sown 649.2 thousand hectares, down 50.3 thousand hectares compared to the same period last year; about 401.9 thousand hectares have been harvested with a harvested output of 2.23 million tons. The total yield is estimated at 56 quintals/ha; the output is estimated at 3.63 million tons. Regarding the winter-spring rice crop, the southern provinces have sown 308.1 thousand hectares, down 14% compared to the same period last year and concentrated in the Mekong Delta.
