rice prices today, December 12, 2022: Bustling at the beginning of the week Today’s rice prices in the Mekong Delta remained stable compared to the end of last week. The market was bustling in the first session of the week. In the export market, export rice prices stagnated and tended to move sideways after an upward adjustment session. According to the Vietnam Food Association, the offering price of 5% broken rice for export is at 448 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 433 USD/ton. Forecasts and actual developments show that Vietnamese rice continues to expand its export routes in both traditional and new markets. This is good news for rice growers in the Mekong Delta at the end of the year. In fact, out of more than 6 million tons of rice exported recently, Vietnamese rice is mainly sold to the Philippine market, accounting for 2.74 million tons, China 757,575 tons, and Ivory Coast 588,621 tons. However, these markets are currently showing many signs of continued increase in import demand. Specifically, although the Philippines imported 3.243 million tons of rice by early November 2022, in the near future, this country will continue to import more due to the continuous destruction of super typhoons, affecting domestic rice productivity. Similarly, China will also increase imports to 5 million tons due to the impact of drought and floods affecting domestic rice productivity… #rice price #agriculture #nhanong #mientay #rice #gaonguyenlieu #gaothanhpham #giagaohomnay #giagaole
