Mr. Do Ha Nam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Intimex Import-Export Joint Stock Company, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Food Association, commented that the rice export market this year will be very positive. World demand is very high with 3 main factors being China, Indonesia and India. China is a major rice importer in the world reopening after the pandemic. When China reopens, rice prices will increase; Indonesia, previously a major rice consumer in the world, will also increase purchases again. In recent years, the country has been striving to be self-sufficient and reduce imports, causing its reserves to continuously decline sharply. In addition, demand from markets such as the Philippines, Africa and many other countries is also increasing as they have to actively replenish food reserves in the context of many economic and political instabilities in the world. #rice price
