Rice price update on May 5, 2023: Rice prices continue to be stable. Today’s rice prices in the Mekong Delta continue to be stable, due to the changing of seasons. Currently, the domestic rice market is more active, and sticky rice prices tend to increase. According to traders and businesses in the Mekong Delta, today the amount of raw rice is low, and factories are offering rice at increased prices. According to the Vietnam Food Association, the export price of 5% broken rice from Vietnam fluctuates around 483-487 USD/ton; Jasmine rice is at 553-557 USD/ton. Statistics show that rice exports reached 1.56 billion USD, an increase of 54.5% over the same period in 2022. Of which, in March and April this year alone, rice exports helped our country earn nearly 1.1 billion USD.
