fertilizer prices today, March 2, 2023: Fertilizer prices drop to lowest level in 2 years According to the Vietnam Fertilizer Association, fertilizer prices are falling rapidly as the cost of natural gas, an important raw material for fertilizer production, and farmers’ demand have both decreased. In particular, after China began to reopen and no longer restrict the export of 29 types of fertilizers, the supply of fertilizers on the world market is no longer in a state of local scarcity. In the past two years, fertilizer prices have increased by a record 2.5-3 times, at times the highest in 50 years, causing farmers to be unable to withstand the heat, having to abandon their fields or cut production. Statistics show that in the Summer-Autumn crop of 2022, the rice area planted in the Mekong Delta (MD) is about 1.5 million hectares, a decrease of 16,000 hectares. In the Autumn-Winter crop of 2022, the rice area in this region continued to decrease by more than 3,500 hectares. #fertilizer_price #farmers #western region #fertilizer_price #fertilizer #fertilizer #potassium_price #agriculture #fertilizer #agricultural materials #news #agriculture
